The University of Phoenix is dedicated to
equipping its students with skills that will ultimately lead to their
success in the professional work environment. In furtherance of this
goal, the University is proud to announce the opening of the Virtual Writing
Lab.
What is the Virtual Writing Lab?
The “Lab” is an email address where
students can send their written materials (papers, projects, etc.) to be
reviewed by a University of Phoenix faculty member qualified to assess
writing skills.
The Lab is designed to assist students in developing essential
written communication skills. It is not an editing service. Rather, the work
submitted is reviewed and detailed feedback is provided on how the student
can improve not only that particular paper, but also his/her writing style in
general. Feedback will focus on format, grammar, organization, punctuation
and usage, but not content. As always, the ultimate grade allocated to
any written assignment remains within the sole discretion of the course
instructor.
Who can use the Virtual Writing Lab?
The lab is open to all University of Phoenix
students in any program. There is no cost for using the writing lab. Faculty
is encouraged to refer students to the writing lab for assistance in the
development of their writing skills.
Where and when can you find the Virtual Writing
Lab?
The Virtual Writing Lab is located at the following
address:
Students can send their
materials to the address 24 hours a day and can expect a reply within 48
hours of their submission.
