numbers illustrate a truth that will startle you: that half of Americans with
the highest incomes pay 96.09% of all income tax. This contradicts the

Bill Clinton in a speech December 3 to the Democratic
Leadership Council said, “Republicans will always have more money,
more powerful interest groups, the fervor of right-wing emotions,” he
said. “They have an increasingly right-wing and bellicose conservative
press.” He cited the Wall Street Journal as his only example.

The Journal is primarily a business and commerce
publication. However, the paper’s editors do take strong positions in
it’s editorial pages, which I believe generally lean conservative.
Clinton doesn’t mention the LA Times, New York Times and
Seattle Times, all of which are liberal bastions. He doesn’t
mention the big TV networks, CNN and NPR, all of which are blindly
liberal. He doesn’t mention the rich Hollywood elites that donate
millions of dollars to liberal candidates and many ridiculous liberal
causes. He doesn’t mention rich trial lawyers who donate generously to
liberal politicians. He doesn’t mention the very rich liberals such as
the Kennedy’s, possible presidential candidate John Kerry and the many
rich democrat members of congress, some who made fortunes after they
got into office…and, Bill himself, is hardly a pauper. Liberals such
as Mark Rich and others helped line his pockets.
As for fervor of emotions, when in the history of the
Republican party has anyone seen emotional political “fervor” like
that displayed at the Senator Paul Wellstone memorial service by the
left-wing demos?
Clinton, in his arrogance and superiority can say
anything he wants and then expect “stupid” Americans such as me to
swallow his swill.
Either Clinton, in a back-handed way, is trying to
embarrass the left-wing media into becoming even more left, or he
simply swallows his own swill.

Here’s wishing that you have much to be thankful for during
this Thanksgiving Holiday.
Thanksgiving was not made an “official” holiday in the
US until 1863 with a proclamation signed by President Abraham Lincoln.
Prior to that, folks didn’t need a national holiday and an extra long
weekend to offer their thanks. I suspect today that the primary
interests in Thanksgiving are not so much to give thanks as to have a
few days off, watch football games on TV and get some projects done
around the house.
Sounds a bit cynical, I know. Perhaps you can take my
cynicism as a reminder to pause even a few moments to give thanks for
all that we Americans have in terms of freedom and material benefits.

At
www.vote.com this morning, the
question posed: Is Sen. Tom Daschle Right To Blame Rush Limbaugh
For Inspiring Threats Against Public Officials? I voted no and
waited to see the results of all votes cast to that point. The
percentage was 90% no, 10% yes.
I listen to the Rush
Limbaugh as often as I can and have yet been inspired to threaten anyone,
including the silly Mr. Daschle. While I am not particularly inspired in any way
by what I will call conservative talk radio, I am provided information and
knowledge which I don�t find in the mainstream media, in which I include the
vast majority of big city newspapers, NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN and, of course, the
publicly supported yet intensely liberal NPR.
Believe it or not, there
are liberal talk show hosts. I don�t listen to any of them on a regular basis
because I get the same biased pap I do when reading the papers or watching TV
news other than Fox News…and I have become an ardent fan of Fox News because I
trust that what I am seeing and hearing has a semblance of balance, fairness and
integrity.
My undergraduate degree is
in Journalism. Years ago, I intended to become an investigative reporter. I was
involved in the news business, academically and professionally enough to realize
that there was even back then, a left wing bias. When I returned to
school, it was as a Vietnam Veteran. I was several years older than my peers
and, I believe, smart enough to see through the left-leaning prejudices of my
professors.
Interestingly, many years
later I went through a very liberal-leaning time of life, which resulted in me
ultimately reaffirming my conservative approach to politics and other aspects of
life.

Just spent a week visiting relatives in Southern
California, all of whom were as dismayed as I was to see Gray Davis
reelected governor. What do my relatives have to look forward to: even
more and higher taxes, increasingly difficult statewide budget issues,
increased costs for electricity and a governor more intent on staying
in office than properly serving his constituents. Of course, the
“royal class” of California supported Davis: democrat politicians, the
Hollywood elite and the left-wing press. My relatives live in San
Diego County and it was somewhat gratifying to see the vote in that
county go against Davis. While California continued its journey to the
nirvana of extreme liberalism, I was nearly overjoyed with election
results on the national level.

There are an estimated 13 million illegal aliens in
the US. This is an affront to all citizens, whether by birth or
naturalization. How many citizens will die at the hands of
these illegal entries, how much longer will our laws and sovereignty
be defiled and how much longer will President Bush and his
administration do little or nothing about it.
Mr. Bush is the CEO and therefore ultimately responsible for the
performance of the federal government and its employees. Too many of the people we
pay to enforce laws and protect citizens are not doing their jobs and
would rightly be fired. Two that could be considered are Attorney
General John Ashcroft and Seattle INS official Blake Brown.
I have been critical of the Clinton administration on
this matter. Now, it seems, the president and administration I have
supported has no better a record on the immigration issue then the
Clinton regime.
Until the country gets its borders under control, the
so-called war on terror is a waste of time and money and will only end
in failure.

for their own ends. People talk about radical Muslims hijacking
Islam…I would say that the radical elitist left has hijacked the
once noble and proud Democratic party (of which I was a member, once).
The future of this country and the welfare of the majority of its
citizens is in the balance.
