REMEMBER
FALLUJA

Ed
Hammond Writes

Ron,
being one of the Rangers that was in Somalia I have a certain perspective
on this that most Americans do not. In my opinion, and this is only
my opinion, the only way to deal with a large group of people like this
that kill innocent people as a whole city is one thing. I like to call
it MOAB. Just blow the crap out of the whole city. It might seem evil,
or even wrong, but I have a certain perspective here. More innocent
people will die from these people in this city if we do not MOAB them
then if we did. Granted there are a few innocent people in this city,
I am sure of that. But how many coalition troops will die in this city,
how many contractors, how many reporters, and how many Iraqis before
we get this city under control? It may be my anger boiling up from Somalia
and from seeing this happen, but MOAB is just the right thing to do
here. Payback is HELL!!! I say we give them HELL! This is WAR, nothing
short of it. This is just another reminder of that. Kill them all and
let GOD sort them out!!!!! Just a biased opinion from a man who has
been through hell and lived to talk about it.

My
Response

I
agree. The situation in Iraq would be cleaned up quickly with the exercising
of a powerful force. When the politicians pulled us out of Vietnam,
the VC, NVA and other “terrorists” killed hundreds of thousands
and crushed any chance of democracy. If we end up crawling out of Iraq,
there will be a terrible bloodbath and no chance of democracy. And,
we would again be percieved as weak and a ripe target for terrorist
attacks.

Remember
Falluja…I question if Americans will remember Falluja any longer than
the USS Cole and the other attacks we sustained during the Clinton years.
How about 9-11? As I look at the photo above and the smirk on the cretin’s
face, I can’t help but observe that if that animal came to the United
States left-wing extremists just might elevate his status to that of
a rock star. I can imagine his face in the “moveon.org” anti-bush
ads.

CATSUP,
PICKLES AND THE RADICAL LEFT

by Paul R. Hollrah

Maria Teresa Thiersten
Simoes-Ferreira Heinz Kerry was born in Mozambique, the daughter of
a Portuguese physician, and was educated in Switzerland and South Africa.
Fluent in five languages, she was working as a United Nations interpreter
in Geneva in the mid-60’s when she met a handsome young American, H.
John Heinz, III, who worked at a bank in Geneva. He told her his family
was “in the food business.”

They were married
in 1966 and returned to Pittsburgh where his family ran the giant H.J.
Heinz food company. He was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives
in 1971, and in 1976 he was elected to the first of three terms in the
United States Senate.

Senator H. John
Heinz was a friend of mine – not a close friend, not a golfing buddy,
but a friend nonetheless. The last time I saw him alive was, oddly enough,
in the men’s restroom at the Maverick Steakhouse, a favorite nighttime
eatery and watering hole for politicians and lobbyists in Harrisburg,
Pennsylvania.

The senator was
standing at a wash basin, drying his hands, when I entered the room.
When he turned and saw me he rushed toward me, threw his arms around
me, and said, “Paul, it’s good to see you!” All I could do
was mumble, “Senator, do you really think we should be seen hugging
each other in a men’s restroom?” He didn’t think so, and neither
did I, but we shared a good
laugh over his impromptu display of affection.

Several years later,
in 1991, he was killed when his plane collided with a Sun Oil Company
helicopter over a Philadelphia suburb – the same helicopter that I often
used to travel between Philadelphia and Washington, DC. The senator,
his pilot and co-pilot, and both of Sun’s helicopter pilots were killed.
He was survived by his wife, Teresa, and their three young sons.

Four years later,
after inheriting Heinz’s $500 million fortune, she married Senator John
Forbes Kerry, the liberal junior senator from Massachusetts. She became
a registered Democrat and the process of her radicalization was set
in motion.

Heinz Kerry is not
shy about telling people that she required Kerry to sign a pre- nuptial
agreement before they were married. John Kerry may not have check-writing
privileges on the Heinz catsup and pickle fortune, but he is certainly
a willing and uncomplaining beneficiary of it. A lot of hard-earned
money, made through many years of hawking catsup, pickles, and soup,
has fallen into the hands of two people who despise successful entrepreneurship
and who believe in the confiscatory redistribution of wealth.

So how does Mrs.
Heinz Kerry spend John Heinz’s money? Just one example:

According to the
G2 Bulletin, an online intelligence newsletter of WorldNetDaily, in
the years between 1995-2001 she gave more than $4 million to an organization
called the Tides Foundation. And what does the Tides Foundation do with
John Heinz’s
money?

It supports numerous
anti-war groups, including Ramsey Clark’s International Action Center.
Clark has offered to defend Saddam Hussein when he’s tried.

It supports the
Democratic Justice Fund, a joint venture of the Tides Foundation and
billionaire hate-monger George Soros. The Democratic Justice Fund seeks
to ease restrictions on Muslim immigration from “terrorist”
states.

It supports the
Council for American-Islamic Relations, whose leaders are known to have
close ties to the terrorist group, Hamas.

They support the
National Lawyers Guild, organized as a communist front during the Cold
War era. One of their attorneys, Lynne Stewart, has been arrested for
helping a client, Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman, communicate with terror
cells in Egypt. He is the convicted mastermind of the 1993 World Trade
Center bombing.

It supports Planned
Parenthood, the National Abortion Rights Action League, and the Abortion
Action Project.

It supports the
most violent of all homosexual action groups, ACT-UP.

It supports the
“Barrio Warriors,” a radical Hispanic group whose primary
goal is to return all of Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Texas
to Mexico.

These are but a
few of the radical groups that benefit, through the anonymity provided
by the Tides Foundation, from the generosity of our would-be first lady
– the wealthy widow of Republican senator John Heinz, and now the wife
of the Democratic
senator who aspires to be the 44th President of the United States.

If voters will only
try to imagine a woman such as Teresa Heinz Kerry, the fairy godmother
of the radical left, laying her head on a pillow each night just inches
from the President of the United States, hopefully they will decide
that the only way these two will ever be allowed into the White House
is with an engraved invitation in hand.

As I recall that
somewhat embarrassing chance meeting in the men’s restroom at the Maverick
Steakhouse in Harrisburg, instead of mumbling some inane nonsense about
getting caught in a friendly embrace, I wish now that I’d had the good
sense
to whisper in his ear, “John! Go home! Get a lawyer! Change your
will!”

But, of course,
we didn’t know her then, did we?

WISDOM

“Some
writers have so confounded society with government, as to leave
little of no distinction between them; whereas they are not only different,
but have different origins. . . . Society in every state is a blessing,
but government, even in its best state, is but a necessary evil; in
its worst
state an intolerable one…” – Founding Father Thomas Paine in
“Common Sense”

DEMAGOGUERY

“Horrific
and infuriating news from Iraq’s Sunni triangle: ‘Suspected insurgents’–how’s
that for a euphemism–‘killed four American civilian contractors in
a grenade attack Wednesday in central Iraq,’ CNN reports. . . . It’s
worth emphasizing that the four victims were civilians working for an
American company. Like America’s soldiers, these civilians are putting
their lives on the line to enhance America’s security and help build
a better Iraq. John Kerry and other Democrats have been vilifying American
contractors in Iraq, especially Halliburton. This seems a fitting time
to point out what a despicable bit of demagoguery this is.” – James
Taranto, Best of the Web, 3/31/04

CHARACTER
MATTERS

“Should
Mr. Clinton have been impeached for the Monica Lewinsky or Paula Jones
scandals? He probably should not have been, but he probably should not
have been elected in the first place given the cost to the country of
his irresponsibility. . . . (I)t turns out Osama bin Laden and much
of his network might have been put out of commission had Mr. Bush’s
predecessor not been sufficiently compromised by his own sexual immaturity.”
– Columnist Dan Thomasson

THE
SPENDING, STUPID

“What
should be the issue is not how much of our money Congress will allow
us to keep, but how much of our money we will allow Congress to spend.
Instead of debating curbs on tax cuts, members of Congress should impose
spending curbs on themselves. . . . . Congress, in the only bipartisan
activity left in Washington, continues to act like Paris Hilton, who
spends inherited money she never made.” – Columnist Cal Thomas

SMELL
OF FAILURE

“John
Kerry’s presidential candidacy has all the makings of a classic flop
– in the American side-splitting tradition of Thomas Dewey, Adlai Stevenson,
George McGovern, Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis. . . . Like Thomas
Dewey in 1948, his deepest flaw as a candidate is his sheer unlikeability.”
– Columnist Tony Blankley

FRANKEN-FLOP’S
FOLLY

“My
first priority is to get sued by a right-wing jerk in order to generate
interest in my new show” – Liberal gas-bag Al Franken

GOLDWATER
DOCTRINE

“I
have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more
efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote
welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws,
but to repeal them. It is not to inaugurate new programs, but to cancel
old ones that do violence to the Constitution, or that have failed in
their purpose, or that impose on the people an unwarranted financial
burden. I will not attempt to discover whether legislation is ‘needed’
before I have first determined whether it is constitutionally permissible.
And if I should later be attacked for neglecting my constituents’ interests,
I shall reply that I was informed their main interest is liberty and
that in that cause I am doing the very best I can.” – Barry Goldwater,
“The Conscience of a Conservative”

JOHN
KERRY ON DEFENSE

– Sent by Dee

He
voted to kill the Bradley Fighting Vehicle
He voted to kill the M-1 Abrams Tank
He voted to kill every Aircraft carrier laid down from 1988
He voted to kill the Aegis anti aircraft system
He voted to Kill the F-15 strike eagle
He voted to Kill the Block 60 F-16
He voted to Kill the P-3 Orion upgrade
He voted to Kill the B-1
He voted to Kill the B-2
He voted to Kill the Patriot anti Missile system
He voted to Kill the FA-18
He voted to Kill the F117

In
short, he voted to kill every military appropriation for the development
and deployment of every weapons systems since 1988 to include the battle
armor for our troops. He also voted to kill all anti terrorism activities
of every agency of the U.S. Government and to cut the funding of the
FBI by 60%, to cut the funding for the CIA by 80%, and cut the funding
for the NSA by 80%. But then he voted to increase funding for U.N operations
by 800%.

INQUIRING
MINDS WANT TO KNOW

“There’s
only one question I have for President Clinton. Why didn’t you consider
Osama bin Laden and al Qaeda a strategic threat? Why when they declared
war on us — give me your reason for not declaring war on them”
– Former Sen. Bob Kerrey, a member of the 9/11 commission, in a New
York Post interview

VEEP
WARNS OF THE TAX MAN

“At
last count, candidate Kerry had offered 73 new spending proposals. So
far, he’s provided details for just 28 of those 73 – and they alone
would add $1.7 trillion in new spending by the federal government over
10 years. . . . It turns out John Kerry has voted in the Senate at least
350 times for higher taxes. That averages to one vote for higher taxes
every three weeks, for almost two decades. At least the folks in Massachusetts
knew he was on the job.” – Vice President Dick Cheney

KERRY’S
LAME RESPONSE

“They
found Dick Cheney in an undisclosed location and brought him out to
attack me. That seems to be his designated role, not to create jobs,
but to attack John Kerry.” – John Kerry

DO
AS WE SAY, NOT AS WE DID

“I
see where the people of Haiti finally got sick of defrocked collectivist
priest and all-around ‘necklace’ killer Jean-Bertrand Aristide, took
up arms, and kicked him out. So what are U.S. forces doing there now?
About 1,800 of our guys have been sent in to — in the words of Associated
Press reporter Paisley Dodds — ‘rid the nation of guns.’
“Hey, good plan. In the great tradition of George Washington, Francis
Marion, and young Jim Monroe, the Haitian people just used firearms
to throw out a vicious tyrant, and the immediate goal of Big White Brother
is to ‘rebuild a shattered police force and disarm militants who began
the insurgency.’ . . . How do you think the people of the proud, young,
free United States of America would have reacted if some foreign army
had arrived here in 1783 with the declared the goal of ‘ridding the
nation of the guns’ that had just been used to win America’s freedom?”
– Columnist Vin Suprynowicz

ROVING
MOB

“A
mob supporting illegal immigrants harassed presidential adviser Karl
Rove and his family at their home yesterday… Hundred of demonstrators
surrounded Mr. Rove’s home in Northwest (Washington, DC), pounding on
his windows, The Washington Post reports. . . . The protesters said
they were rallying for a bill that would legalize the status of illegals
who graduate from high school in the United States, and would qualify
them for in-state college tuition.” – Greg Pierce’s “Inside
Politics,” 3/30/04

SLAVERY
REPARATIONS

“Supposed
‘descendants’ of slaves filed a $1 billion lawsuit againstU.S. and British
corporations, citing genocide committed against their ancestors. . .
.The ugly truth here is that this whole reparations-for-slavery drive
is being pushed by people who hope to rise to positions of power and
influence on the back of the heritage of slavery.
Add to that an ever-growing number of people who cannot accept the responsibility
for where they are in their lives. Can’t find a good job? Blame slavery.
On drugs? Blame slavery. In jail? Blame slavery. Yeah … it sure is
a lot easier than taking responsibility yourself. . . . Instead of going
out and actually working for a living, these money-grubbing whiners
actually think they can extort money from corporations under the guise
of ‘reparations.’ ” – Talk-show host Neal Boortz
